Hat tip to Josh Marshall and Talking Points Memo...
I'd like to give a big hat tip to Josh Marshall and his Talking Points Memo. Don't know if you've heard about it yet but Trent Lott but a few nights ago at Strom Thurmond's 100th birthday party said:
"I want to say this about my state: When Strom Thurmond ran for president we voted for him. We're proud of it. And if the rest of the country had of followed our lead we wouldn't of had all these problems over all these years, either."
This is from a leader in the Republican Congress in the 21st century... where's the outrage? I don't know if we're going to get the outrage but it's because of Mr. Marshall and his blog that at least someone's keeping the heat on... take a look at Marshall's coverage here, here and here. Go ahead, take a look...
Now Mr. Purple isn't even in the same league as Talking Points Memo... I'm just a PR flack who grew up in Washington and worked in politics way back when but when pro reporters like Marshall start blogging and using the viral quality of the Internet, no tellin' what we can accomplish.
