Anybody but Bush... even John Kerry.
OK, folks, we're getting down to crunch time here...
And I'd like to be honest with you... I think John Kerry has run a terrible campaign and I don't think he's going to be an inspiring President. But you know what? You should go out and vote for him anyway. I, like everyone else I know, hates to step into the voting booth and pull the lever while holding my nose but this election and this time we're in, deserves exactly that. We need to reboot the Bush 2.0 Presidency with a solid majority who say that the rule of law (even for the President) matters, our international treaties matter, science and facts matter no matter how much you want to wish them away, the separation of church and state matters, transparency between the government and the public matters, hiding behind wheels of justice matter... well, I could go on but you get the idea.
If we don't make this change with this vote, I don't believe that this administration is willing to make a change in course in our most important issue, IRAQ. The numbers and reporting have been screaming for more troops, more equipment and more allies but with how Bush rejected help before the war by not letting inspectors do their job, how Rumsfeld wanted to go in lite and fast and how Cheney loves to push behind the scenes... they'll even be more resolute with an election victory in their pocket. More troops won't be added because the '06 election is right around the corner...
Lastly, need I remind everyone that we still haven't found what we went looking for in Iraq in the first place? WMD has seemed to disappear from the President's vocabulary.
So if you couldn't tell already, Mr. Purple is voting for John Kerry... while wearing a gas mask.
