Get out in front of "IT"!
Most political strategists will tell you that if you know something, some bad press or scandal about to break that your candidate/politician is a part of, they'll say that you need to "Get out in front of it!" The belief being that if you can release that information, you can control it and work it to the best of your advantage in the press. Bill Clinton's administration was great at this... except when it came to Monica. Bush 2.0 on the other hand, they never get out in front of anything and I think we will begin to see so much more that throughout his second term.
