Politics... that gray area.
For as long as I can remember, when it came to paying taxes and the IRS, my father would always say when it came to his money, he looked at it like a contrast between black and white... the government takes the black, he keeps the white... and he wants all the gray in between too. I think of politics as the same way... there's absolute right and absolute wrong with so much in between... and once you step into that area of gray, everything can be justified.
So what has this given us? To start, it's a big reason why I left the political fight... after getting push polled on the McCain campaign in South Carolina in 2000 I had had enough. Now this is the thing... was that push poll illegal? Probably not... was it ethical? NO. What is fair? NO. Was it justified? NO. And that's politics... no hard and fast rules nor anyone to enforce those rules even if they did exist... that is until the public makes it's own determination about what is right and wrong by how they vote or voice their opinion when polled. I will say this though, it keeps things interesting and a reason to keep blogging.
