My primary (and one beyond) predictions...
I've had a blast watching the dogfight on both sides of the isle for their respective party's nomination for the big 2008 showdown. For me, it's so much more fun to be outside watching in as opposed to fighting the fight on the front lines.
So, who's going to win? For the Dems...
Even given my not-endorsing endorsement, I believe that Senator Clinton will win the democratic nomination. Not the way I'd like to see it go down but I still don't know if Obama has crossed the "experience" threshold with voters or how John Edward's anger explosion is playing. With my gut not guiding me on either of those fronts, my money's on Clinton.
For the Repubs... my gut is speaking to me and on 12/22, I thought to myself that John McCain is going to win the nomination. It would be like lightning striking twice and since being on the ground back in 2000 when McCain won the NH primary I can tell you this, momentum is usually under estimated. Combine that with South Carolina and how I believe most people wish they didn't get that push poll that actually pushed me out of the business and them to vote for Bush 2.0 in 2000, and you have the makin' for an upset. And after winning South Carolina, McCain's anointed the "Come Back Kid".
Now, for my 1 "beyond the primaries" prediction, I believe that Michael Bloomberg will jump into the race in by March 5, 2008, pick Chuck Hagel as his running mate and spend $1 billion of his own dollars on his campaign.
