Obama, turnout, changing predictions and a little honesty...

WOW... what a potentially historic 2008 Iowa primary election.

First, it's all about Obama, Obama, Obama... now, I'm going to be honest with all of you, I've liked Obama since he gave this speech.  I was almost disappointed when he got elected to the Senate in 2004 since I thought that it would have knocked him out of running in 2008 for President, but here he is.  I wasn't planning on endorsing anyone until the nominees were set but when I looked at the PURPLE candidates of Rudy G., who as you know isn't my shade of PURPLE, Ron Paul, who while I like his Libertarian beliefs and Iraq exit strategy, is just too far out there, and Barack Obama with his belief that the country can come together, Republicans, Democrats and Independents alike, Obama feels most like my shade of PURPLE.

Turnout was key for Obama with a majority of women and younger/virgin voters breaking for him and I expect to see the same phenomenon as this process continues.

As for my previous predictions... I'm still sticking with McCain.  But I now believe and hope that Obama will take the Democratic nomination WHICH will convince Bloomberg to endorse Obama for President instead of jump in the race.
