President's child health care VETO UPHELD by Conservative Repubs
This is just wrong. As I've said here, before we get into a debate about abortion, first we need to ensure that all children under the age of 18 are covered by health insurance. It's complete hypocrisy when conservative Republicans (Bush 2.0 included) now talk about being fiscally responsible when the Dems are in control of Congress but never mentioned it when the Repubs had control of the Congress for the six years prior. Lastly, when we keep paying for the war on terror with emergency supplemental spending instead of including such costs in our yearly budgets but then cry foul when someone tries to cover children's health care legitimately, I call bullsh*t.
