Clean up from Super Tuesday and the day after...

Just wanted to jot some thoughts down about Super Tuesday and the day that followed after...

From the Blue corner:
  1. Clinton held in NY and CA but lost in DE, MO & CO.
  2. Obama beat the over/under of 100 delegates down as a tie, beat her in the number of states and, depending on who you point to, is going to beat her in delegates too.
  3. Clinton loans campaign 5 million dollars AND some upper campaign staff have decided to forgo being paid... I've done that before and believe me, it sucks.
Advantage: Purple candidate Obama. - UPDATE: Obama raised over 5.4 million dollars the day after Super Tuesday... and he didn't have to reach into his own pockets to get it.

From the Red corner:
  1. Huckabee surprises all with solid wins throughout the South.
  2. McCain holds big in CA and the eastern seaboard.
  3. Romney can't get Huckabee out of the way to make a run.
Advantage: Purple candidate McCain.

The punditry like to put it in closer terms and won't take a stab at a prediction one way or the other... and they like it like that.  Me on the other hand, I don't mind stickin' my neck out and pullin' for a pure Purple race come fall.
