The effects of PTSD on our troops...

As some of you know, I've dealt with the effects of PTSD firsthand, so I continue to follow how PTSD on our soldiers returning home from Iraq and Afghanistan is being treated in addition to how it's reported in the main stream media.  The AP is reporting that a new study shows how more than half (53%) of the suicides of soldiers from 2001 through today were committed by troops who fought in Iraq, Afghanistan or both and that the level is the highest since they started keeping track 26 years ago.  As much as I harp on Bush 2.0 and many of his policies/beliefs that I disagree with, I give them credit for passing the Joshua Omvig suicide prevention bill.  However, more still needs to be done for the soldiers who return from a war theater and are not near a VA or military base where they can get the help they need.
