BIG hat tip to Mr. Marshall and TalkingPointsMemo.com
Josh Marshall's TalkingPointsMemo.com (TPM) has won a George Polk Award for their reporting on the U.S. Attorney scandal and I'd like to take a moment to congratulate them. The NYTimes does a good job of describing TPM and how they do what they do. You see, I'm very indebted to their journalism work in terms of what I do here, on this blog. It couldn't be done without the straightforward reporting that they do. I'm just an old former political hack who believes that I have some insight and knowledge about politics in general that others might find interesting, so I blog... I like to think of my blogging as being a referee; someone calling fouls or b*llsh*t when required. But, I wouldn't be able to do that if it wasn't for blogs and journalists doing the grunt work like TPM.
So Mr. Marshall, congrats on your George Polk Award... keep up the good work. You know I'll be reading.
