Much worse than warrant-less wiretapping
This stuff really scares me... Just like scandal fatigue though, the more times I read that the government has access to all of my information (phone numbers, emails, text messages, location, what was said on my calls) via my cellular provider the more I tend to think it's not that big a deal... THEN SMACK MYSELF UPSIDE MY HEAD AND WAKE UP!
If you don't want to read or click on the link above, just know that the FBI had (and maybe still has) a direct hook-up with a telecomm company with all your personal information described above... it's just that this informant won't say which provider they're speaking of. Russian Roulette anyone?
UPDATE: Here is a new article that says the real hitch in the negotiations between the WH and Congress over warrant-less wiretapping is email, not phone calls. It gets deeper and deeper.
