Where has McCain's temper been?... here it is!
Senator McCain's famous temper got the better of him today when asked, by a NYTimes reporter no less, about running as VP on John Kerry's ticket in 2004. If he wanted the question of running as Kerry's VP or stories about his temper to go away, he certainly didn't help himself today.
Back in 2000 during that race, we were dealing with the same issue but given the time that has passed and the position he's in today, I'm surprised that Senator McCain would get so riled up on a pretty soft ball question. There is something under the surface there and now reporters are going to be scratching that itch to get to the bottom of it.
