Frank Schaeffer, a founding member of the Religious right, along with his father, during the mid-70's to the end of the 1980's is surprised at the uproar over Rev. Wright's comments given that his father, Religious right leader Francis Schaeffer, said pretty much the same thing and was subsequently embraced by Jack Kemp, President Ford, President Reagan and the Bush family.
