The trail to torture... and it WASN'T a "few bad apples"
Vanity Fair's article titled "The Green Light: Politics and Power" has hit the web... what a sobering read of what REALLY happened in the run up to and torturing of detainees at Gitmo, Abu Ghraib and other "black sites" around the globe.
To remember Bush 2.0, Rumsfeld, Gonzales and others tell it; Abu Ghraib was the result of a "few bad apples". But comparing that line of defense with the above linked to article about how the torturing of detainees really came to be, who signed off and how techniques were developed (TV show "24" anyone?) is breathtaking and sickening.
