Maliki gets tough with Sadr

I don't know if it's such a good idea for Maliki to offer the tough ultimatum to Sadr of disbanding his Mahdi Army or risk being shut out of the upcoming elections given how tough of a force the Mahdi Army turned out to be last week when they tussled in Basra and elsewhere.  And no matter what Senator McCain says, the cease fire was brokered by Maliki and Iran... which again, doesn't seem to give Maliki the leverage he needs to make an ultimatum, such as the one he presented today, stick.

I do know one thing, tomorrow's testimony by Gen. Petraeus will be interesting.
