...finding a job. You see, lawyers of both political stripes believe that when you are under oath, you NEED to tell the truth. From how the NYTimes article paints the picture, in Gonzo's last few appearances in front of the Senate he didn't do that, tell the truth, so can you really blame a law firm for NOT wanting that name on their roster?
