Obama is a DINU

Andrew Sullivan pointed me to a post from Eyecube that describes Obama's campaign as a Deeply Immersive Narrative Universe (DINU).  Eyecube points to all of the other creative efforts that have been undertaken in the name of Obama; Obama girl videos, Yes We Can video/song, artists creating their own posters and tee-shirts... it's a great article and you should take a look.  I commented that "as the cost of music and video production decreases and the ease of use of the Internet increases along with the frustration with the current political system and players, the table was set for such an explosion of personal statements coming together behind a unifying brand and the brand is Obama."... and DINU explains that process succinctly.

However, when I was reading through that post, I didn't even realize that I was part of the story... just by uploading a cover version of "Yes We Can" that a friend created for me because I wanted to listen to it on my iPod and thought my readers might like it, I am in fact participating in Obama's DINU.  That's pretty cool.
