Two items not to overlook

Given all of the focus of the current Main Stream Media is on the Democratic side of is aisle, I don't want two interesting stories to fall through the cracks...

The first is an article in the NYTimes that explains how Bush 2.0 is still trying to push through his nominations to the FEC (Federal Elections Committee) so they can start weighing in on the presidential election.  The trouble is that Bush 2.0 keeps the one candidate on the list that's been causing the most trouble while deleting the sitting Republican member who said that McCain can't opt out of public financing until the full six member committee says he can; and without a full committee seated, that ain't happening any time soon.  Again, Bush 2.0 is playing politics the only way they know how... dirty.

The second article is by Sam Stein over at Huffpost that shows how much trouble McCain could really be in given the results that he's been pulling in as the uncontested presumptive Republican nominee.  Not even crossing the 75% of Republican voters in North Carolina could be a precursor to a serious problem come November for McCain and his chances at becoming the next President.
