A wild card enters the race...
Bob Barr, a former Republican from Georgia, has launched his campaign for President under the Libertarian affiliation. First he has to win their nomination at their May 22nd convention but if he overcomes that hurdle, he could be the Nader of 2008... but who will he hurt and who will he help? As a former Republican strategist with Libertarian leanings, I wish him all the best. He, like I, lost his taste for being a Republican given Bush 2.0's rule the last 7.5 years... which all by itself makes him a viable candidate in my book.
