Republican Congressman offers bill on signing statements
Republican Congressman Walter Jones of North Carolina has introduced a bill that would make the President tell Congress why he is attaching a signing statement to a bill and what the reason for the statement is. It's a start and I'm glad to see that SOME Republican's conscience might be getting the better of them... or is it that thing called "an election" coming up in November that is the catalyst for this move?....hmmmmm, one can only wonder.
