In an online blog, Senator Obama has written an in-depth post about his decision to back the current FISA bill before the Senate while working with Senator Dodd and others to strip the telecom immunity provision from the bill. Obama praises the effort of the grassroots and people on his own blog community to confront him with their differences on this issue. Welcoming this kind of dissent is very unique for a politician and, I believe, will endear more supporters to him.
