How do you think Bush 2.0 is drumming up donations for his library?
Why he's putting surrogates out there asking for cash for access to VP Darth Cheney, Sec. of State Rice and other senior officials. The man asking for these donations for access? Stephen Payne... and he insists this is not a 'quid pro quo' situation... yeah, right. Here's the reporting and the video... below is CNN's reporting too... enjoy.
UPDATE: Payne is trying to smooth things over with TalkingPointsMemo.com by giving them emails that he says prove this wasn't at it seems in the video... but he's still not giving them a phone interview or answering their follow-up questions... hmmm, interesting reading indeed.
