Off topic... Happiness is a choice

Since a larger portion of this blog is about what's wrong with our politics and the corruption/ethical lapses that consume that environment, I thought that I'd share a blog post from Huffpost's "Living" section that says something that I've been saying to myself and my husband for a while now... namely that, happiness is a choice.  It's a choice that you make within yourself and seldom do marterial things influence that feeling... sure, a couple glasses of wine or buying that new Coach bag can give me a fleeting feeling of happiness but I've found that my true happiness comes from being married to someone I love, having a job that I find rewarding and having a family that is unique and loving.  Now, if any of those aspects of my life weren't making me happy, I'd make a change... as in, I have a choice to make to be happy.  Just thought I'd share that with you... OK, now back to our regular scheduled program.
