The GOP and the blogosphere... a match not made in heaven
The Politico reports today on how the GOP is losing the blogosphere wars by only having many blogs that are opinion/aggregator blogs instead of blogs that actually do real reporting. This blog, LittleMsPurple.com, is an aggregator site... I take articles, videos, pictures and such floating around the web and the main stream media, put them up or link to them on this blog and then comment on what I see happening in the world of Presidential politics. Now, it is with my personal comments and "take" that I hope to add a little more than just links to other's reporting and videos. This "take" via my previous work experience in politics throughout the 1990's is opinionated and hopefully informative but I do realize that I'm still an aggregator. I let others do the reporting and hope that my analysis and point of view add value with the goal of providing a kind of "one stop shop" for fellow Purple Americans with similar views.
I'm getting pressure from my husband, Mr. Purple, to get more personal and share more of who I am and what I'm about as he thinks I have a very interesting past and family life... I don't know. We'll see but for now I'm actually content just being an aggregator, no matter how that sounds... and I hope you keep reading.
One last point to the article linked to above: yes, the GOP is behind in the blogosphere but given the fact that Bush 2.0 has completely decimated the meaning of the word Republican, they've got bigger problems to fix than how they are being recieve online.
