McCain adopts Rove style politics his second time around

The main stream media is disecting McCain's new tactics and commenting on how the McCain of 2000 got beat by Rove's tactics so the McCain of 2008 hires Rove's disciples and adopts their slash and burn style of campaigning which involves lies and smears... just like the ones that took McCain down in 2000.
The NYTimes editorial board has their take on the overall tactics HERE while their reporting section details the specifics HERE. While the WashPost digs into the charge that Obama didn't visit wounded troops in Germany 'cause he couldn't take cameras or the press with him (this is a lie and the McCain camp should know better).
I foresee many more attacks like this from the McCain camp because they don't want to make the mistake that Hillary made... laying the attacks against Obama on heavy too late in the race... and for Rove's disciples, you can bet they won't make that mistake. Unfortunately, we're going to have to keep knocking the lies down instead of debating the real issues facing our country.
