The play of the week has been critqueing McCain's negative tactics used against Obama. Now, McCain is getting it thrown back at him from both sides...
From McCain's inner circle we have: "John Weaver, one of John McCain's closest friends and confidants..." writes Marc Ambinder of The Atlantic, has called McCain's celebrity ad against Obama "childish" and that he believes this type of campaigning "diminishes John McCain". Weaver and McCain go way back and he still talks to some in the campaign so for him to come out like this, against this ad, tells you something.
Then from the Obama camp, we get this ad in response:
