Taking from Iraq to give to Afghanistan
Sec. of Defense Robert Gates is proposing giving Afghanistan 20 billion dollars to double the size of their army to 120,000 troops over the next five years and I agree. This money will also help get the country ready for the infusion of U. S. troops expected to be deployed there early next year. Seeing as Iraq is running a 79 billion dollar surplus due to the high cost of oil, I feel that we should take that 20 billion from Iraq and give it to Afghanistan. Finally, Bush 2.0 is letting his team pivot to where we should have been focused all along... Afghanistan.
