Untangling White House lies to Congress in the U.S. Attorney scandal

Murray Waas is probably one of the best investigative reporters out there today.  He provided very in-depth and accurate reporting in the Valerie Plame scandal and now is out with new reporting on the U. S. Attorney firing scandal and how the Dept. of Justice and the White House drafted letters to Congress (who was seeking information about the firings) that the writers of those letters knew to be false and untrue.  Waas, having gotten access to emails that Congress hasn't seen due to claims of executive priviledge and reporting he's done with witnesses of the Inspector General and Office of Professional Reponsibility's investigations, paints a very damning picture of DOJ's and the White House's efforts to lie and mislead Congress.  But Waas does a much better job than I at explaining all of this so maybe you should just read his story, "U.S. Attorney Scandal Probe Enters White House Circle", by clicking here.
