The below ad is the one that the Obama camp is running during their $5 million Olympic ad buy. It's a positive ad that doesn't mention John McCain once. Contrast that with the ad the McCain is running in an Olympic ad buy of his own and you'll see the difference. Is going negative during the Olympics a good thing? We'll never know but the McCain camp seems to think that they don't have a choice.
