Bush 2.0 and Iraq agree to a timetable
Sec. of State Rice announced with Iraq's foreign minister that the two countries are close to a resolution that includes a timetable for the withdrawl of U. S. troops. This word, "timetable", is what the Congress and Bush 2.0 have been fighting over for the past few years... it's the word that Obama uses to describe his plan of getting U. S. combat troops out of Iraq over the course of 16 months. And it's also the word that McCain and his camp rail against when speaking of the U. S. involvement within Iraq. So I guess my question is this, how does Bush 2.0 and McCain spin this news to where it doesn't play in Obama's favor?
As for the "clear articles" that the Iraqi foreign minister say are in the agreement which don't allow Iraq to be used as a launching pad for other U. S. attacks in the region, let's see if that really makes it into the final draft... not over Darth Cheney's dead body.
