Enough!... Olbermann says it best...
Just over the past week and a half or so, I've become depressed about blogging and keeping up with my promise to myself blog religiously through election day in November. Why?... you may ask? Well, to be honest, I got out of politics because I couldn't take the low ball/gutter tactics that our politics has become over the past 20-30 years and given how the McCain has been running his campaign since their convention, I've had a stomach ache. I mean, these are the same tactics and smears that brought down McCain in 2000 when I was working my heart out for him... they are the tactics that he decried back in 2000 and was utterly dismayed that someone from his OWN PARTY would take him down that way... so I'm tired and sick of how our political discourse has continued down this path... we have too many HUGE problems to solve to be involved with the politics of distraction, distortion, fear and low blows. ENOUGH! Last night's special comment by Keith Olbermann talks partly to this point so I thought I would share a little bit of my misgivings about the turn this campaign has taken and then let Keith drive the point home. Also, on this anniversery of 9/11, I'm glad that Keith nailed down the disgust that SHOULD be felt by ALL AMERICANS when the Republicans use 9/11 as their personal campaign poster/theme/reason to be/wedge issue, etc... so now, to the tape:
