McCain camp embraces tactics that doomed McCain in 2000

Today, both camps for Obama and McCain have called a truce given the 7th anniversary of 9/11 but on 9/10, the McCain camp was firing on all cylinders with attacks against Obama that are outright lies and cheap/dirty tactics... the same kind of cheap/dirty tactics that brought McCain's candidacy for President down in 2000. I should know, I was there.
From push polls in OH against Obama to what they say is his support of sex ed for kindergartners, this campaign has taken a nasty turn... a turn that the Rovian protégés running McCain's campaign are very used to taking, happy to do so and with no conscience, they have no regrets.
Here's the break down of the push poll running against Obama, here is a break down of the sex ed ad that Steve Schmidt approved and the same kind of tactic he used against an opponent in '96 and here is a WashPost article detailing all of it... the WashPost article quotes Biden with respect to comparing what McCain went through in 2000 vs. how he is now running his campgaing: "What really dissappoints me is the very tactics used against him, they're trying to use against Barack Obama now," he said. "It's literally saddening. I didn't expect it. I didn't expect it. But I guess I should learn to expect everything."
The Obama camp says that they are going to respond tomorrow given the anniversary of 9/11... let's hope so, cause so far, I'm not seeing it.
