John Neffinger blogging at Huffpost makes a great point... if Bush 2.0 and McCain succeeded in privatizing social security (which McCain still supports) in 2005 after Bush 2.0 won re-election, how much bigger of a problem would the economic meltdown we're seeing now be?... MUCH, MUCH, BIGGER. If Bush 2.0 succeeded, the government would also be bailing out social security along with Bear Sterns, Freddie, Fannie and AIG...
