Does this make McCain's campaign attacks/smears/lies OK?

In the below video, McCain says that he regrets and is sometimes offended by the negativity of this campaign... does he realize by any resonable measure that it is HIS campaign that is leading in the sleazy/dirty/lying department? Unbelievable... but he does warn us that it's probably going to get worse in the 46 days left... and THAT'S saying something.
