BREAKING: McCain will debate tonight but deal on economic bill still not done...

McCain said that he wouldn't debate until a deal was done on the economic bail out bill... a deal still isn't done but word from MSNBC now is that McCain will dabate tonight. How can anyone look at this as anything less than a stunt? Suspend the campaign, postpone the debate, here I come to the rescue but instead I stall the progress... McCain loses points for this tactic/stunt.
As I vlogged about here, when I met Ronald Reagan, my Mother was working as one of his strategists and she came up with a tactic for Reagan's debate against GHWBush in New Hampshire... the difference between that tactic and McCain's of this week is that it was a surprise with a quick end. McCain's tactic was a surprise that hung out there in the wind and one in which he couldn't fully control. Lesson from Mom was "Always have an out/exit strategy."... and McCain forgot that lesson when he "suspended" his campaign on Wednesday.
