Wall Street divorces the GOP

On his Capital Commerce blog, James Pethokoukis posts and email from a money manager on Wall Street who is divorcing the GOP.  This money manager is beside himself at the GOP House leadership, Newt Gingrich and others for their utter lack of understanding of how dissasterous the consiquences would be if some iteration of the Paulson plan isn't enacted... and FAST.  He also goes on to express his suspicion that McCain used his little "campaign suspension" and threats to boycott the debate as a political tactic instead of really trying to help the situation... which he could have easily done if he had given some "straight talk" to the House GOP and told them to fall in line.  I have a feeling that many money managers on the street are having a similar reaction to the week's events.
