I'm tired...
I recommitted myself to this blogging thing almost a year ago... that commitment meant that I was going to blog much more regularly than I had in the past (2-4 posts per month vs. the 60-130 I've been at since the recommitment in Jan. '08) but as of late I've been getting very tired. Tired of all the bad things that I have to blog about just to keep up with Bush 2.0 and his way of running our country into the ground or the smears and lies coming from McCain and his camp. It's tiring.
I mean, take today for an example;
I could have blogged about the secret White House memos to the CIA in 2003 and 2004 giving the OK to torture because the CIA agent we worried they would be caught holding the bag with no paper trail from the WH;
I could have blogged about Bush 2.0 adding two new signing statements to new laws that he feels restrict his presidential power but would block consumer safety lawsuits among other changes;
I could have blogged about McCain blaming the econmic crisis on the Democrats since they took control of Congress in 2007;
I could have blogged about a bipartisan Congressional committee which found that Bush 2.0 abused his use of executive privlidge in both the Plame case and in regards to climate change;
I could have blogged about McCain's Presidential transition chief who used to lobby for Saddam Hussein;
I could have blogged about the Republicans this year again going after voter fraud cases that point us all the way back to the U.S. Attorney firings for not bringing voter fraud cases before the 2004 election. I guess old tricks die hard;
I could have blogged about Palin's troopergate report and how her reading comprehension skills must be lacking if she believes that "I'm very, very pleased to be cleared of any legal wrongdoing, any hint of any king of unethical activity there...";
I could have blogged about all of that and more today but I'm very tired. I'm tried of this race and just want it to be over. Luckily, the polls seems to be moving in the right direction and after tonight's debate (which I will be vlogging about at the conclusion), other than a true October surprise, people will be able to make up their minds and finally vote. I've become so numb to the lawlessness and utter unethical behavior over the past couple of years in Bush 2.0 world that it really doesn't rile me up any more... hopefully, under an Obama Presidency, I won't have to worry about that any more.
