Four Star General with PTSD

It's been nice to have a break from posting... I keep seeing things that I could post about (like Bush 2.0 trying to rewrite history in terms of the Iraq war before he leaves office) but I haven't... I'm trying to turn my partisan bent against Bush 2.0 off and let Obama be Obama for the time being.

That said, I came across THIS ARTICLE today about a four star general in the army who commanded troops in the northern part of Iraq at the beginning of the war who came home from Iraq with PTSD.  This is a big step in the right direction... for someone at this level to admit to having PTSD without being on the direct front lines.  It goes to show that even witnessing the results of a traumatic event just after it happened (when a group of soldiers where killed in the mess tent by a suicide bomber) can have a similar effect to being there at the time.  Long time readers know that PTSD is a very personal issue for me... and to that end, I'm adding a new label on the sidebar of my blog titled simply, PTSD.  There you can see why this is such an important and personal issue for me.
