Bush 2.0 Whitewashing history

TalkingPointsMemo.com makes a very good point about Bush 2.0's interview last night with ABC's Charles Gibson when Bush 2.0 says that he regretts the intelligence being wrong on Iraq.  As TPM notes, all of the major news outlets bought that BS hook, line and sinker.  It wasn't just that there was bad intel... it was that Bush 2.0 chose to use the bad intel and jetison the good/real intel.  Remember all of those trips that Cheney and Libby took to the CIA to pressure analysts?  This is just utterly rediculous that the major news orgs would go along with this thinking and not bring up any of the reporting done by the Knight Ridder (now McClatchy) news org and others at the time that got it right from the outside... not on the inside of the CIA or Pentagon.

What Bush 2.0 should regret is that ideology took over his administration and he happily went along with it... kinda just like how our financial system crumbled under his watch again, due to ideology.  Hopefully we can count on the historians to get it right.

UPDATE: Maybe I should be writing for Keith Olbermann's Countdown show... after writing the above post, below is the segment about Bush 2.0's interview from Keith's show that aired last night... enjoy.
